KNEITZ and Getzner at the InnoTrans 2018

10. September 2018 /// Tim Galonska

Making effective use of time spent on the train

Getzner and KNEITZ are taking the comfort and the service life of rail vehicles to a new level.

Following the successful cooperation of the two sister companies in Dubai, we will also be pooling our strengths for the InnoTrans by hosting a joint press lunch at the KNEITZ trade fair stand on 20 September 2018.

Many people are motivated to travel by train rather than another mode of transport not only for reasons of punctuality but also very much by the respective level of comfort rail travel offers. Important factors such as a low-noise, low-vibration environment and comfortable seating make it easier for rail passengers to make good use of their journey time. Getzner and KNEITZ are united by the fact that they pursue the continuous improvement of the comfort and service life of railway carriages and their interiors.

With the aid of practical examples, KNEITZ sales director Thomas Recknagel will demonstrate how durable textile solutions that are less susceptible to vandalism can also increase the comfort of railway carriage seating. The presentation will also address textile characteristics that are extremely important to the market stakeholders, such as antibacterial finishes and sustainability.

Thomas Gamsjäger, the SVP of Getzner Werkstoffe's Industry Division, will talk about the areas where the materials Sylomer and Isotop can be used in rail vehicles to reduce vibrations and noise.
